The Old Post Office is a cosy cottage in the heart of Chatton, sleeping four. Arrival and Directions
We’ll send full directions and check-in details ahead of your stay, so there’s no guesswork on arrival, even on that last stretch of quiet Northumberland lane where sat navs can occasionally lose confidence. If anything is unclear, the Well Stays team is a message away.
Bringing Your Dog
Dogs are genuinely welcome here, not just tolerated. There’s no cleaning fee, so muddy paws after a walk on the moors aren’t something to worry about. Just bring a lead for the areas near the wild cattle park and grazing land, and a towel for the inevitable wet-dog moments after a rainy walk.
Getting Out and About
The local pub is two minutes’ walk away, ideal for dinner without needing the car. Beyond the village, Chillingham Castle, Alnwick, and the Northumberland coast (Bamburgh, Holy Island and Seahouses among them) are all within easy driving distance for day trips, so a car is genuinely useful once you’re here.
